Join a dedicated neuro theatre scrub team at a leading trauma centre in London. This role offers the opportunity to ensure excellent nursing care standards while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. You will take charge of the theatre area, supervise junior staff, and contribute to the management of surgical procedures. • Setting, monitoring and maintaining excellent standards of nursing care in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.
• Ensuring that nursing procedures are carried out in accordance to Trust's policies.
• As skills and competencies develop, taking charge and actively participating in and contributing to the management of the theatre area on a regular basis.
• Supervising and mentoring junior staff.
We are looking for enthusiastic staff to come and join our neuro theatre scrub team at St George's.
We are interested in hearing from staff who have experience in neuro, but also from those who have experience in other theatre specialities as we are happy to support and facilitate the training of individuals who are keen to learn neuro.
We are proud to be one of the major trauma centres with a helipad supporting the South East of England. We are a tertiary referral centre for complex neuro, spine, and scoliosis surgery.
We have 33 operating theatres between St George's and Queen Mary's Hospitals. Our staff work in teams, and we are committed to keeping our focus on giving Outstanding Care, Every Time to our patients.
St George’s, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group cares for a population of four million people in South West London and North East Surrey. Our sites include St George’s Hospital, one of 11 major trauma centres in the UK and the largest healthcare provider and major teaching hospital in the area; St Helier Hospital, home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit; and Queen Mary's Hospital for Children; and Epsom Hospital, home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC).
