Job summary

The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Theatre Practitioner (ODP or Registered Nurse) to join the Theatre team across Main Theatres and other specialities. The role offers a fixed-term 12-month contract with training and development opportunities to support progression.

Qualifications

• Candidates may be an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) or a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high standard of patient care in line with Trust policies and procedures.
• Organise and manage the day-to-day running of allocated areas under supervision.
• Take charge of clinical sessions to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
• Liaise with medical staff, senior nursing staff and other departments to support service delivery.
• Supervise and support learners and junior staff in line with their level of competence and skill.
• Ensure patients, relatives and ward staff receive appropriate information and that all documentation is completed accurately.
