We are looking for a Theatre Practitioner to work in South Theatres and the new surgical hub. If you are interested in a new challenge or change, this might be the role for you.
This position is crucial to the effectiveness of South Theatres' new surgical hub and offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled individual to contribute to the development of Elective and Emergency surgery at Ipswich Hospital.
We provide numerous development opportunities for further education, including degree and master’s level programs that support your growth as a theatre practitioner.
South Theatres' new surgical hub handles both Elective and Emergency surgeries. The department offers 24-hour Emergency Surgery coverage and comprises 8 operating theatres, including a dedicated Emergency and Urgent Surgery Theatre, and 6 Elective Theatres.
The role offers potential for internal rotation, working across different theatres, carrying the emergency anaesthetic Bleep, and POCU responsibilities.
This position is open to AHPs, ODPs, and Registered Nurses with exceptional theatre/scrub experience.
The successful candidate will work in both new and existing theatres at Ipswich Hospital, with the exciting addition of robotic surgery using the Da Vinci Robot.
The department covers various specialties, including General Surgery, Colo-rectal, Urology, ENT, Oral, Plastic, Breast, Vascular, Robotic, and Laparoscopic Surgery.
