Job description

As a Theatre Practitioner (ODP) at our hospital, you'll be focused, detail-oriented, empathetic, with great communication skills. You're registered with the appropriate governing body and bring relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC or HCPC registration. With post-registration experience in scrub roles within a theatre environment, you're a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

Main duties of the job

As a Theatre Practitioner (ODP), you will:

  • Work in a multidisciplinary team covering a varied patient caseload
  • Use state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and facilities
  • Supervise, support, and develop junior team members
  • Provide high-quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Create high-quality, evidence-based patient care and experiences
  • Have opportunities for continuous growth and development, including Surgical First Assist training

The Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital, situated in Derriford, Plymouth, has been part of the community since 1971.
