Job summary

George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust in Nuneaton is seeking an Experienced Obstetric Scrub and Recovery Practitioner to support perioperative care in our operating theatres. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a busy obstetric setting.

As you develop your skills, you may assist in staffing the theatre area in the absence of Team Leaders, uphold safety and policies, and contribute to staff mentorship and preceptorship with ODPs, nurses

Responsibilities

• Assist in the provision of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients in the perioperative environment.
• Be sensitive to patients' and staff's needs for courtesy, dignity and privacy, ensuring a friendly environment.
• As skills develop, manage the Theatre area in the absence of Team Leaders, maintain safe staffing levels and ensure policies are adhered to.
• Assist the Professional Development Team in preceptorship and mentorship of newly qualified staff, return-to-practice staff, ODPs, and theatre support workers.

• Assists the Professional Development Team in the management of preceptorship of newly qualified staff, return to practice staff and the mentorship of Nursing /ODP students and theatre support workers.
  The successful candidate will be an Experienced Obstetric Scrub and Recovery Practitioner who must possess a sound knowledge and experience in Operating Theatres.

• You must be organised, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must be motivated and enthusiastic with a passion for high quality patient care, and the ability to work well under pressure and flexibly as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
