Qualifications

  • NMC or HCPC registration required with scrub experience in the UK.
  • Good computer skills and ability to work as part of a team are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly scrub within specialisms such as Ophthalmology and Orthopaedics.
  • Cleaning and stock control of Theatre department is required.
  • Assist with patient transfer and act as circulating person when needed.

Job Description

Theatre Practitioner - Scrub
Cheshire, The Wilsmlow Hospital
Full time: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: 4 days per week, Monday-Saturday. Shift start times are between 06:00 and 07:00. 9.5-hour days. Overtime available as well as occasional on-calls

Salary: Up to £34,500 dependent on experience + 4% shift enhancement + £5,000 golden hello (T's & C's apply)

We are looking for a Theatre Practitioner with scrub experience to join our Theatres team at The Wilsmlow Hospital, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC.

What you will do:
  • Regularly scrub within specialisms such as Ophthalmology, ENT, Urology, Orthopaedics, Plastic surgery and Gynaecology
  • Cleaning and stock control of Theatre department
  • Act as circulating person within the scrub team as and when required
  • Collecting and escorting the patient, and assisting with transferring of the patient from trolley to table under supervision of trained staff.
What you will bring:
  • NMC or HCPC registration
  • Scrub experience in the UK
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • A second skill (Anaesthetics or Recovery) is desirable
