Nuffield Health Edinburgh Hospital is seeking a Theatre Practitioner (Scrub) to join our Edinburgh Theatre team on a permanent, full-time basis, 37.5 hours per week across 3 x 12.5 hour shifts including some weekend work. The role requires registration with the appropriate governing body and post-registration scrub experience, with ophthalmology and orthopaedics exposure preferred.

As a Theatre Practitioner at Nuffield Health Edinburgh Hospital, you’ll be registered with the appropriate governing body. You have the qualifications and experience that are relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC. You will have post-registration experience scrubbing for various cases, ideally with experience in ophthalmology and orthopaedics. You will be flexible, have excellent communication skills and be a great team worker.

For clinical roles grade 9 and below, the overtime is at a standard rate of pay. For unsocial hours, you’ll be paid an additional enhancement to your salary at the following rates: Nights Hours worked between 7pm and 7am on any day of the week, 30% of basic hourly rate. Weekends Hours worked between 7am and 7pm on a Saturday or Sunday, 20% of basic hourly rate. Bank Holidays Hours worked between midnight and midnight of a bank holiday, 100% of basic hourly rate.
