Job summary

West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking theatre practitioners to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary theatres team at St Albans City Hospital (SACH) Theatres in the Watford area. Rotational opportunities will help you develop and maintain your skills, with leadership expectations, efficient communication within the operating department, and safe transfer of patients between hospitals as needed.

Qualifications

• First level registration with the NMC.
• ODP registration or equivalent credentials.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Understanding of theatre department structures and processes.
• Commitment to clinical effectiveness and evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

• Manage and organise the operative list and clinical care.
• Communicate changes within the operating department to all team members.
• Transfer patients safely to other hospitals as required.
• Demonstrate leadership in daily managerial tasks and staff allocation.
