Job summary

St. Albans City Hospital (SACH) Theatres are seeking highly motivated theatre practitioners to join our friendly, multi-disciplinary team. We offer rotational opportunities for staff to develop and/or maintain their skills, and welcome both Registered Nurses and ODPs alike.

You will work with a supportive team, receive buddy-led induction, and have access to ongoing training and development to advance in theatre, nursing, or management roles within the department.

Qualifications

• First level registration with the NMC.
• ODP registration.
• Evidence of professional development and working towards a degree.
• ILS/ALS.
• Post-registration education programme related to speciality.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the safe management of the post anaesthetised/surgical patient and promote safe discharge to ward care.
• Demonstrate clear leadership qualities to allocate staff and manage day-to-day theatre operations.
• Support induction and buddy system for new starters; participate in training and development pathways.
