Job description

Cardiothoracic theatres are looking for theatre practitioners from both a nursing and ODP background to join their expanding award winning team. Whether you're newly qualified or experienced you will be given the support and training to gain the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in the role. Often in challenging circumstances, you will work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, perfusionists and other clinical staff to put what you have learnt into practice. You will be a valued member of the team, making a real difference to people's lives in their hour of need. If you are dedicated, honest and reliable and want to be part of a supportive working team then we are looking for you.

Main duties of the job

There are three distinctive areas of care in theatre, scrub, anaesthetics and recovery. We encourage you to become proficient in all areas and we will give you the chance to do so. If there's a particular area that suits your style of working then we'll support you to excel in it. All we ask is for is a dedicated team member, who has the same enthusiasm to learn that we have to teach. Patient care and safety is at the centre of what we do so you'll be the patients advocate throughout their journey in theatre. This role requires someone who is compassionate, empathetic and respectful and will be supported to gain confidence to speak up when needed.
