Job summary

Exeter Hospital is seeking a Theatre Practitioner (Scrub/ODP) to join the Nursing team on a part‑time basis, with weekend work. You’ll provide high‑quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary setting, using state‑of‑the‑art equipment, and support junior staff.

You must be registered with NMC or HCPC and have post‑registration scrub theatre experience. Good communication and teamwork are essential, with a patient‑centred approach and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Registered with the appropriate governing body, with relevant qualifications and experience (NMC or HCPC).
• Post‑registration Scrub theatre experience and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

THEATRE PRACTITIONER – OPERATING DEPARTMENT PRACTITIONER – SCRUB (RGN / ODP)

Exeter Hospital | Nursing | Bank | Part Time | Includes weekend work | Up to £26.50 per hour depending on experience

As a Scrub Practitioner/ Theatre Practitioner (ODP) at our hospital, you’ll be focused, detail‑oriented and empathetic with great communication skills. You’re registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC. With post‑registration experience in Scrub roles within a Theatre environment, you’re a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Work in a multi-disciplinary team covering a varied patient caseload
• Use state-of-the-art technology, equipment and facilities
• Supervise, support and develop junior members of the team
• Provide high‑quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary team setting
