Job Opportunity: Band 5 Theatre Practitioner

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, motivated Staff Nurse/ODP to join our team as a Band 5 Theatre Practitioner.

We are looking to attract applicants to work in the National Treatment Centre Fife Orthopaedics based within the grounds of the Victoria Hospital, which includes 3 theatres, a 7-bed recovery area, an orthopaedic ward, and outpatient services. This role offers a great opportunity for staff development.

We are recruiting experienced or inexperienced theatre practitioners, either RGN or ODP. Experience in scrub and circulating roles is desirable but not essential. We provide a robust induction programme supported by a dedicated education team. We also fund and support the Advanced Scrub Practitioner programme.

Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, work well in a multidisciplinary team, and demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development. Theatres are fast-paced environments that require a team-working ethos. If you are interested in joining our busy, friendly unit, this could be the right post for you.

Hours will be scheduled to meet service needs, including weekend work as required, with flexibility to work across all sites in Fife.

A requirement for this position is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
