Job summary

Theatre Practitioner (ODP) at Nuffield Health Hereford Hospital is a full‑time role offering up to £40,000 per annum, 37.5 hours per week.

You’ll be registered with HCPC or NMC, with post‑registration scrub experience, and you’ll work in a multidisciplinary theatre team delivering high quality perioperative care. The post emphasises development, patient experience and evidence‑based practice, with opportunities for Surgical First Assist training and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• Registered with HCPC or NMC and post‑registration scrub theatre experience.
• Experience in perioperative care and a multidisciplinary theatre team.
• Able to support and develop junior team members and deliver evidence‑based care.

Responsibilities

• Work in a multi‑disciplinary team to manage a varied patient caseload.
• Utilise theatre technology and equipment to support procedures.
• Supervise and develop junior team members within the team.
• Provide high‑quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Contribute to creating positive patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
• Pursue ongoing development opportunities, including Surgical First Assist training.

Theatre Practitioner Hereford Hospital | Nursing | Permanent | Full Time | Up to £40,000 per annum depending on experience 37.5 hours per week

As a Theatre Practitioner (ODP) at our hospital, you’ll be focused, detail-oriented empathetic with great communication skills.You’re registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC. With post-registration experience in Scrub roles within a Theatre environment, you’re a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

As a Theatre Practitioner (ODP),you will:

• Work in a multi-disciplinary team covering a varied patient caseload
• Use state-of-the-art technology, equipment and facilities
• Supervise, support and develop junior members of the team
• Provide high-quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary team setting
• Create high-quality care and patient experiences that are clinically effective and evidence based
• Have ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, which can include Surgical First Assist training
