Job summary

Wessex Hospital, part of Nuffield Health, is seeking a hospital porter to move patients to and from their rooms before and after surgery and to support the theatre environment and equipment.

This role operates with ad hoc hours to fit the hospital’s needs and requires willingness to undergo DBS checks; physical work and close teamwork are essential, with access to pension and gym membership benefits. The setting is a fast-moving surgical environment with four theatres.

• Collect and return patients to their rooms before and after surgery.
• Work with colleagues to keep the theatre environment and equipment fully functioning.
