Job summary

Practice Plus Group Holdings Limited is seeking an exceptional Theatre Manager to lead strategic, clinical and operational functions across theatre and perioperative services. You will partner with the Head of Nursing and Clinical Services Manager to deliver safe, efficient, patient-centred care while driving staff development and service excellence.

The role requires registration with NMC/HCPC, 6+ years in acute/elective surgical services, and at least 2 years in management.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the NMC or HCPC is required.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience within acute or elective surgical services.
• At least 2 years' management experience with a proven ability to lead teams and influence change.
• Strong clinical knowledge across perioperative care and surgical services.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and leadership capability.
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience of governance, audits, quality improvement and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and professional leadership across theatre services, recovery, endoscopy, ophthalmology and PACU.
• Manage departmental operations, workforce planning, budgets and resources for high-quality service delivery.
• Lead, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding patient outcomes.
• Drive service improvement, innovation and efficiency across surgical pathways.
• Ensure compliance with CQC standards, governance requirements and national best practice.
• Lead recruitment, performance management, appraisals and staff development initiatives.
• Oversee incident investigations, quality audits and governance reporting.
• Build strong relationships with consultants, anaesthetists and senior stakeholders to maximise theatre utilisation.
