Job summary

Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an ODP/Theatre Nurse to support patients undergoing surgery. You will help prepare specialist equipment and drugs, including anaesthetic machines and airway devices, to ensure safe anesthesia delivery.

As a member of the theatre team, you will contribute to day-to-day unit management, promote evidence-based practice, and supervise junior staff when the Senior ODP is unavailable.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as an ODP or equivalent.
• Post-graduate anesthetic module or equivalent for NMC nurses.
• Ability to work effectively in a perioperative environment under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care and assist with anesthesia.
• Prepare and manage anaesthetic equipment and drugs.
• Support theatre team to ensure safe patient flow and delivery of care.
