An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic Theatre Manager to lead the continued growth and success of the Malthouse Theatre at The King's School, Canterbury. It is a distinctive, high-quality venue serving both the school and the wider community.

You will have overall responsibility for the theatre's commercial and external activity, including programming, bookings, marketing and financial performance. You will work closely with school colleagues, visiting companies and external partners to deliver a vibrant, commercially successful programme while maintaining the highest operational and safeguarding standards.

The role requires strong leadership across technical, front‑of‑house and bar teams, alongside hands‑on oversight of box office operations, licensing, health and safety, and venue compliance. You will bring proven experience in theatre or venue management, sound financial acumen, and the ability to balance artistic ambition with commercial viability.
