A leading healthcare organization seeks a Band 3 Theatre Healthcare Assistant to join the operating theatres team. In this role, you will work closely with Registered Practitioners, providing high-standard perioperative care and assisting in a sterile environment. Ideal candidates are caring, motivated, and have good communication skills. A chance to gain the nationally recognized Care Certificate within the first 12 weeks is offered.
Band 3 Theatre Healthcare Assistant
We have vacancies in our Obstetrics & Gynaecology Theatres and also General & Emergency Theatres.
This is an exciting opportunity for Healthcare Assistants to join our operating theatres team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
The role involves circulating with the theatre scrub team to provide required equipment in a sterile environment.

A caring nature, good communication skills and a willingness to learn and develop are essential.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who has an interest in a career in operating theatres and would like to gain experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology Theatres and General & Emergency Theatres specialties.
Working pattern: You will be required to work on a rota basis, inclusive of Monday - Friday, weekends, nights and bank holidays.
As a Theatre Healthcare Assistant, you will work closely with the Registered Practitioners delivering high standard perioperative care to patients, assisting with preparing theatre, checking equipment and escorting patients to theatres.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential as successful applicants will receive a comprehensive induction on commencing the post.

As part of the induction process, all new Healthcare Assistants will be supported to complete the nationally recognised Care Certificate developed by Health Education England, Skills for Health and Skills for Care (2015).
This fantastic opportunity will allow you to gain formal recognition for the skills and knowledge you develop within the first 12 weeks of employment within the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.
