About

Theatre Healthcare Assistant | Theatre | Liverpool | Full Time, Permanent | Band 2 / Band 3 equivalent

Spire Liverpool Hospital is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join our dedicated Theatre team. This full-time role involves 37.5 hours per week with a varied shift pattern between 8am and 9pm, Monday to Saturday.

Our facilities include 4 Theatres (3 laminar flow), a minor ops/endoscopy unit, and a 36-bed Surgical Ward covering specialties such as Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Vascular, Plastics, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Spinal, Urology, and ENT.

Responsibilities
  1. Support nurses and consultants during procedures, including assisting scrub nurses, supporting patients in the anaesthetics room, opening sterile packs, checking instruments, and assisting with equipment.
  2. Maintain high standards of infection control and quality care delivery.
  3. Contribute to a safe and efficient theatre environment.
Candidate Requirements
  1. Experience in Theatre settings is advantageous; experience in care roles is also valued.
  2. Flexible and willing to work on a rota that includes weekends.
  3. Enthusiastic about learning and career development.
  4. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in written English.
  5. Willing to undertake training and development opportunities.
