A prestigious educational institution in Camden Town is seeking a Theatre and Production Manager to oversee the daily operation of the Theatre and manage its busy production program. The ideal candidate will have significant theatre production experience and a strong understanding of technical processes. You will take overall responsibility for the daily operation and supervision of the Theatre, ensuring it is well-managed, safe, and supportive of high-quality creative work by staff and students. The role: The Theatre and Production Manager will play a central role in managing the planning, coordination and technical delivery of the busy theatre programme.
This role will suit a candidate with a proven track record of working in a theatre venue at managerial level on artistic events, with significant experience in theatre production and a high level of knowledge of sound and technical equipment. You will relish the opportunity to create a supportive and stretching environment for your team and students, to maximise the potential of what they can achieve and build on the School's impressive reputation for ground-breaking school drama productions.
Using your thorough understanding of the theatre's creative and technical processes, you will apply your pragmatic approach and sound judgment to recommend ways of working that are practical, minimise risk and manage finances/resources effectively. Your strong written and verbal communication skills, tactful, approachable manner and ability to positively influence others will enable you to build strong professional relationships throughout the School at all levels of seniority.
Harrow School is situated in Harrow on the Hill in north-west London and is one of the best-known schools in the world.
