We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Anaesthetic Practitioner to join our Captain Sir Tom Moore Building Elective Orthopaedic Theatre service. We welcome applications from experienced professionals, newly qualified ODPs/RGNs, or students due to qualify within the next 6 months. RGN candidates must have additional recognised Anaesthetic Practice Qualifications. You will receive full support during your adaptation period, including a preceptorship for newly qualified candidates.
Our department is dedicated to elective orthopaedics, with 5 theatres and 1 procedure room. We recently expanded, adding our 5th theatre and procedure room. In March 2023, CSTM Theatres achieved a Gold Star Accreditation for Care & Excellence.
Shifts are: 1 x 8am - 7pm, 3 x 8am - 5.30pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week. Currently, we operate Monday to Friday, with potential expansion to weekends in the future.

The post holder will work as part of the multidisciplinary team, providing comprehensive skilled assistance in anaesthetics, theatre scrub, and recovery. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality, individualized care to patients and their families. In addition to clinical duties, the post involves supervising and training junior staff to ensure a high standard of service that is also cost-effective.
