SAP TAX Data Design Expert

GBP750 - outside IR35 - Luton - 12 months

The SAP Data Design Expert - Tax will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimising tax-related data structures, ensuring compliance with global tax regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive tax data integrity and efficiency in SAP S/4 HANA.

The SAP Data Design Expert involves defining and documenting the S/4 Enterprise Data Standard, ensuring existing SAP ECC data is fit for purpose at the migration point. Reporting to the R2R Data Design Lead, you will support the relationship between the S/4 Data & Analytics organization and cross-functional teams, including tax, finance, IT, and external consultants, to ensure that the S/4 data design meets business requirements and aligns with SAP standards.

The SAP Data Design Expert will require robust experience in Tax Data Model design, expertise in Master Data Management and Governance concepts, along with SAP S/4 HANA knowledge and soft skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 HANA implementation, including design, configuration, data migration, and deployment.
2. Knowledge of SAP transactions and reporting within an SAP environment.
3. Designing and implementing tax data models in areas such as direct tax compliance, indirect tax compliance, withholding tax recording, and tax engines.
4. Experience with the full lifecycle of tax data model definition, design, and implementation in process and/or technology solutions.
5. Understanding how business data requirements support process execution and analytics.
6. Driving Data Stewardship by designing and implementing Data Standards for a global enterprise.
7. CPA designation or equivalent is preferred.
