Get ready to make a big splash!
More than 40 giant mermaid tail sculptures will be making a splash in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) in April 2025, with the launch of The Great Tail Trail, an exciting community art adventure in aid of Julia’s House children’s hospice and delivered in partnership with Wild in Art.
The trail will run from 5th April to 1st June and end with a grand farewell finale where all the giant-sized mermaid tail sculptures will be brought together under one roof. The giant one-of-a-kind sculptures will then head off to their forever homes after being adopted at a special auction event to raise money for Julia’s House.
We’re looking for volunteers who are friendly and enthusiastic to help engage with the public along the Great Mermaid Trail. Volunteering in pairs between 11am – 3pm, your role will be to patrol key locations across the art trail. Specifically, we are looking for volunteers to help on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
