Job summary

A vibrant dining establishment is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in culinary operations. You'll lead the chef team, manage stock control, and ensure the highest food quality. Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a CDP, senior CDP, or Sous Chef.
  • Proficiency in diverse cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Passion for food and customer service.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to support our talented Head Chef in team development, training, health and safety, and menu creation.

About the role:

  • Report directly to the Head Chef and deputise in their absence
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu ideas and improve offerings
  • Maintain the highest standards of food quality at all times
  • Lead and motivate the chef team to perform at their best
  • Oversee stock levels and make key decisions on stock control with the Head Chef
  • Ensure all food safety and health and safety procedures are strictly followed

Hours per week: 45

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CDP, senior CDP, or Sous Chef
  • Proficiency in diverse cooking techniques and cuisines
  • Leaving Cert level education or above
  • NVQ qualification or equivalent
  • Passion for food and customer service
  • Creative and innovative with menus and presentation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
