We are looking for someone with a passion and proven track record of working with young people. They will apply their facilitation experience and artistic practice to play a key role in the delivery of The Agency’s weekly sessions, the evaluative process, and wider aims of this ground-breaking initiative.

The Agency is a creative entrepreneurship programme that empowers young people to address issues that matter to them. It uses a creative process to support 15-25 year-olds in developing social change projects based on their interests and community needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to join The Agency, which has been successful since 2013 in London and Manchester, and more recently in Belfast and Cardiff. It is now well established and entering its 5th year in Southampton.

Energise Me is seeking to appoint a freelance Lead Facilitator for The Agency in Southampton. You will be fully trained in The Agency methodology and will work alongside the Assistant Facilitator to plan, deliver, and evaluate workshops that inspire and empower young people.

Role requirements:

• Attend a 3-day training camp in Manchester from 20-22 August 2025.
• Support promotion and publicity of the project as an advocate for The Agency.
• Represent The Agency’s vision and build relationships with local community members, organizations, and businesses to help young people realize their ideas.
• Assist in interviewing young people interested in participating.
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate weekly sessions following The Agency methodology.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive, and inspiring environment for workshops where participants feel safe, supported, and encouraged.
• Manage the Assistant Facilitator during sessions and support the Project Manager with line management tasks.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, dignity, respect, and equal opportunities policies are followed.
• Attend regular meetings with the Project Manager, Assistant Facilitator, and the wider team.
• Participate in online meetings every two weeks with other facilitators from The Agency UK network.
• Contribute to evaluating the impact of The Agency project.
