Role: Textiles Teacher
Location: Slough
Salary: £120 - £220 per day
Start Date: September 2025

Exciting Opportunity for a Textiles Teacher in Slough!

GSL Education is currently seeking a number of passionate and dedicated Textiles Teachers to join our fantastic schools in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher to inspire students and support their creativity within the subject of textiles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching Textiles: Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in textiles to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Curriculum Development: Assist in developing and adapting the textiles curriculum to ensure it is dynamic and student-focused.
  • Student Engagement: Foster an environment that encourages student creativity, exploration, and practical skills development.
  • Assess and Monitor Progress: Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and monitor progress to support learning outcomes.
  • Classroom Management: Ensure a positive and productive learning environment, managing classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers and the leadership team to ensure the continued success of the department.

Essential Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Prior experience teaching textiles at secondary level (KS3 & KS4).
  • Strong knowledge of textiles as a subject area.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students through creative and practical lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Must hold an enhanced, Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
