Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Textiles Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will focus on executing project briefs by liaising with clients and other departments. You will collaborate with companies and team members to develop innovative solutions to the management of textiles waste. Additionally, you will support management with the day-to-day tasks of the Textiles Department, including managing the production schedule, tracking waste materials through the yard, costings and formal quoting, research and development, funding opportunities, idea generation, implementing and adhering to procedures and processes, responsibility of the work area and line management of staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Liaising with clients and companies.

- Tracking waste materials from receivership through to output.

- Expansion of Textile Department portfolio to appeal to a wide range of clientele.

- Enhance product appeal, quality and finishes.

- Collaborate with clients and companies to develop and market concepts.

- Identify and pursue new client opportunities.

- Input into product prototyping and engage in research and development.

- Liaise with other departments including the sales team, joinery and plastics.

- Work with a wide variety of textiles from varying industries to maintain our commitment to sustainability.

- Support and collaborate with management on various projects and initiatives.

- Idea generation, with the ability to present and explain concepts to small groups.

- Frequent face to face meetings with clients.

- Line management duties of a team of textile technicians

- Managing the production schedule to ensure the department work in synchrony to deliver targets on time

Requirements:

- Ability to effectively present concepts to a wide range of clientele- Experience of working with a range of materials.

- Strong understanding of sustainable textile practices and emerging developments within the sector.

- Excellent communication skills are required to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

- Ability to work from concept to completion with tight deadlines.

- Confident with idea generation and product development.

- Creativity and innovation in developing solutions.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Run multiple projects simultaneously, managing own time effectively to meet set deadlines.

- Previous management experience desirable but not essential.

- This role will require occasional travel to other site locations within the MyGroup structure and therefore a driving licence/transport is desirable

- As our company expands, this role may include overseas travel from time to time

Full time position - Monday to Friday.

40 hours per week based on site in Hull.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
