Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Testing Technologist in London to shape testing strategy and delivery. You will work with stakeholders and third parties to provide test support capabilities, build robust environments, and deploy AI-enhanced testing to improve efficiency and risk controls.

The role requires strong software testing, AI, and cloud skills in a hybrid setup. You will join a high‑performing team, contribute to test strategies, and help implement automated quality gates while ensuring security

Qualifications

• Experience in software engineering and automated testing across APIs, microservices, event flows and data.
• Practical AI/GenAI engineering, including LLMs, RAG, agents and evaluation frameworks.
• CI/CD, cloud engineering, observability and automated quality gates.
• Performance, resilience, security or chaos-testing expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions with scalable, maintainable code.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to define requirements.
• Promote code quality through reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Implement secure coding practices and unit testing.
