Job summary

Almac Group is seeking a Testing Group Leader at our Charnwood/Loughborough site. You will oversee Software Testing Analysts and Senior Analysts, ensuring testing deliverables meet timelines and quality standards.

You will implement formal testing methodologies, drive improvements in tools and processes, and support the team in defining testing strategies and risk assessments within a regulated SDLC. You will lead resource scheduling, report project status, and handle issues while maintaining

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in Computer Science or related field, or extensive relevant experience.
• Experience with software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Strong technical background in software and OO systems development and testing.
• Knowledge of GxP regulatory requirements.
• Experience testing web-based, interactive voice response, and client-server projects.
• Familiarity with change management tools (Azure DevOps or TFS).
• Ability to define testing strategies and quality risk assessments.
• Knowledge of supply chain management.

• Oversight of Software Testing Analysts and Senior Software Testing Analysts; supervise and mentor.

Testing Group Leader

Location: Charnwood, Loughborough

Hours: 37.5 hours Monday-Friday 10:00-16:00 core hours

The Opportunity

As a Testing Group Leader you will assume functional supervisory responsibility for Software Testing Analysts and Senior Software Testing Analysts and will assist in identifying training and development needs. You will oversee resource scheduling, maintain and report project status, ensure that project test deliverables are completed to agreed timelines and quality standards, and manage issues escalated by team members.

You will implement and ensure compliance with formal software testing methodologies and best practices and will identify, recommend, and implement Testing Department tool and process improvements. You will also support team members in defining testing strategies and quality risk assessments, while ensuring corporate compliance with the testing phase of the Almac Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and testing team compliance with the SDLC as a whole.

Additionally, you will undertake the same project-specific roles and responsibilities as a Senior Software Testing Analyst, as required.

What you need to be successful

• Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK with no restrictions OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full time employment in the UK.
• The ideal candidate will have a third level qualification in Computer Science or a related field, OR extensive relevant experience.
• They should have extensive experience in:
  • 1. Using change management tools, preferably Azure Dev Ops (ADOS) or TFS.
  • 2. Working with web-based, interactive voice response, and locally deployed client-server projects
  • 3. Ability to identify need for, and then appropriately evaluate, new tools and technologies
  • 4. Experience testing randomization schemas
  • 5. Knowledge of drug management
  • 6. Familiarity with industry regulatory requirements (GxP)
  • 7. Must possess a strong technical background in software and object-oriented systems development and testing, and be able to apply this knowledge to designing test strategies and adoption of new test tools technology
  • 8. Knowledge of supply chain management
