Job summary

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals is seeking a skilled tester to join the Digital Team. The role focuses on application testing for digital applications and projects within the Trust.

You will work with staff across the organisation, understand workflows, and develop robust test scripts to verify systems against specifications, including the new EPR implementation. This role requires accuracy, collaboration, and a proactive approach to quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT testing and quality assurance.
• Knowledge of Cerner (iCLIP Pro) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for staff needing testing assistance or advice.
• Work with change managers, operational managers and end-users to understand workflow and expected functionality.
• Write comprehensive test scripts to verify development systems against product specifications and user expectations.
• Interpret testing output to identify defects and functional omissions.
• Document defects so they can be reliably replicated.
• Report defects to suppliers/developers with clear expected solutions.
• Escalate issues impacting patient safety within the organisation.
• Track supplier progress towards issue resolution for their tickets.
• Troubleshoot and undertake root cause analysis for user-reported incidents/defects.
• Develop, update, upgrade and introduce new testing scripts and scenarios as systems evolve.
• Participate in audits and quality assurance processes.
• Maintain specialist knowledge and expertise in IT systems testing.
• Complete Ad-hoc testing based on issues and changes logged by end users at the trust.
• Follow the Trust and ICT Policies, procedures and processes.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join our Digital Team. This role is part of a Team who are responsible for undertaking application testing for digital applications and projects.

We are looking for individuals with good communication skills and a keen eye for detail. The post holder will be required to work independently and within a team. Knowledge of the systems already in use at the Trust such as Cerner (iCLIP Pro) is essential.

As an organisation, we have just gone live with a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR)system. This is your chance to be part of the digital change, ensuring the safe and effective use of applications.
