You will be working within the structures test team and will be required to liaise with team members on a day to day basis. The test centre is responsible for qualifying the latest materials and aircraft components.

Duties

Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace, including equipment, chemicals, and processes involved in structural materials testing for aerospace applications.

Safety Inspections: Perform routine workplace inspections of the facility to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify any areas for improvement, supporting the efficient and safe operation of a large and growing team.

Incident Investigation: Lead investigations on behalf of the centre manager into any accidents, incidents, or near misses; help with identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences, ensuring the well-being of all team members.

You will report functionally to the Test Centre Operations Leader and the Health and Safety Champion for the AIRTeC facility. Operationally you will work closely with the Health & Safety Department (HSE) onsite at Filton and the building H&S / Operations Officer who provide overall H&S management and approval for the teams activities.

Support the development of the 11 Point Plan storage area: With the move from Microsoft to Google the links between the documents needs to be made easier and/or updated. You will work as part of an MFT to ensure we are able to register and link all documents associated with a task.
