We're looking for a Test Validation Engineer to join an established R&D team in Rotherham, supporting the development and validation of electronic and connected products.
This is a hands-on position focused predominantly on manual testing and product validation, ensuring products and systems operate correctly against defined requirements before being released for manufacture.
You’ll work across electronic hardware, firmware, connected devices, mobile applications and cloud-based services, taking ownership of validation activities and investigating unexpected system behaviour.
Previous experience working specifically as a Test Engineer would be beneficial, but is not essential. The position could also suit someone from an electronics, IoT, connected products, electronic security, installation, technical support or hardware background who has strong fault-finding skills and wants to develop further within product testing and validation.
You’ll be joining an R&D environment where validation plays an important role in ensuring products are thoroughly tested before reaching production.
You’ll work closely with engineers across hardware, firmware, software/app and cloud development, as well as colleagues within product management, technical support and quality.
The position offers plenty of hands-on involvement with electronic products and connected systems, making it particularly suitable for someone who enjoys breaking things, understanding why they’ve gone wrong and proving they work properly once fixed.
You should have practical knowledge or experience in at least one of the following areas:
