Job summary

L3Harris Brighton is seeking a hands-on Test Technician to support testing, validation and delivery of products used in demanding environments. You will work closely with engineering, production and programme teams to ensure tests are conducted safely, accurately and efficiently.

The role requires following procedures, maintaining records, and contributing to continuous improvement of test methods. UK security requirements may apply; eligibility to work in the UK is essential.

Qualifications

• Follow technical instructions, specifications and documented procedures accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with commitment to high-quality work.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Understanding of Health & Safety requirements in a technical environment.
• Eligible to work on UK Military contracts and meet security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical, electrical and environmental tests per approved specs and procedures.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical instructions, and test documentation.
• Ensure testing activities meet quality, technical and regulatory standards.
• Maintain Health & Safety policies and safe working practices at all times.
• Support test campaigns planning, preparation and execution to meet objectives.
• Capture, record, maintain and report test data and results.
• Prepare and maintain test records, reports and documentation for traceability.
• Investigate and escalate test anomalies or equipment issues.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Programme teams; support customers with testing information.
• Assist in maintenance, calibration and upkeep of test equipment and facilities; drive continuous improvement.
