Test Technician - Electrical

Pertemps Bristol is recruiting for electrical and mechanical test technicians to work within a thriving plasma technology business in Severn Beach, near Bristol. This is a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a strong teamwork culture where you will be building precision equipment that is used at the forefront of scientific research and development.

Salary: £34,000 - £39,000 per annum, depending on experience

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, rotating shift pattern - early shifts start at 0600, afternoon shifts start at 1400. Half-days on Fridays.

About the Role:

1. Deliver a fully functional tested product, strictly following the test procedures issued by the Manufacturing Engineering team.
2. Take ownership for product allocated to them and proactively seek resolution of issues as they arise.
3. Ensure test procedures are strictly and efficiently adhered to and that all documentation is fully completed and signed off in line with responsibility/accountability boundaries.
4. Ensure all test documentation is completed and accurately supports test results.
5. Support initiatives to improve quality, Health & Safety, build/test cleanliness and 5S within the test department and associated areas.
6. Support the Team Leader and take the lead where appropriate to maintain a clean and safe working environment by ensuring the workplace is consistent with the company's health and safety policy.
7. May be required from time to time to visit customer sites to support install/commissioning of systems.

The Right Candidate:

1. Excellent communication skills.
2. Time served Electrical/Mechanical apprenticeship or C&G part 3, HND, HNC, or BTech level 3 (electrical).
3. The ability to strictly follow test procedures and accurately report test results against established standards.
4. Capable of accurate and speedy diagnosis of faults at the component level, able to investigate and analyse problems and suggest solutions.
5. Willing to travel when required.
