Job description

Test Technician
Location: Pulborough, West Sussex
Salary: GBP27,145 per annum
Contract: Permanent

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled Test Technician to join a leading manufacturer, playing a key role in the testing, investigation, and support of production products. Working within a manufacturing cell, you will ensure products meet specification requirements and support the wider production process to deliver high-quality solutions to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test high-voltage power supplies to precise specification requirements.
  • Provide hands-on manufacturing support, including basic mechanical assembly, component installation, and production assistance.
  • Complete test reports and documentation in line with customer requirements and Quality Management System standards.
  • Carry out product upgrades and modifications to assemblies and finished products.
  • Interpret and implement engineering changes from documentation.
  • Identify product quality or performance issues and raise non-conformances where required.

  • Liaise with Design Engineering, Test Equipment Design, and Sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction and product performance.
  • Work in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, contributing to environmental improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives.


Skills & Experience

  • Ability to follow test procedures accurately and meet standard times.
  • Proficient in using oscilloscopes, function generators, digital power supplies, and multimeters.
  • Experience in high-voltage test methods (advantageous).
  • Skilled in soldering and rework to IPC standards.
  • Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Competent in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
