Location Swindon, UK

The Vacancy

WRcare is looking for a Test Technician to join their team based in Swindon. You will be part of the existing technical team working across various business areas in the WRc Engineering division, including metering and flow measurement, pollution prevention, and technology.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out testing on water meters and other products according to protocols and standards.
• Recording test results using data loggers and manual methods.
• Maintaining and supporting test facilities.
• Performing in-house calibrations of equipment using secondary standards.
• Developing and building test rigs for specific needs.
• Preparing equipment for field deployment.
• Occasional field work.

Person Specification:

• Experience in a laboratory or engineering environment (desirable).
• Experience with pipes, pumps, and water-related equipment (desirable).
• Familiarity with dealing with contractors and service providers (desirable).
• Practical skills with hand tools and cutting equipment.
• Adaptability and a can-do attitude.
• Methodical work approach following procedures.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Understanding of equipment calibration importance.
