Job description

PE Global is recruiting a Mechanical Technician for our manufacturing client based in Peterborough. The role is an initial 12-month contract. The rate range for this role is £19.29 to £26.18 p/h.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform safe and defect-free assembly of parts and components following standard procedures.
  • Install and instrument powertrains in test machines as per engineer's instructions.
  • Diagnose and fix faults on powertrains and machines, working from engineering drawings.
  • Occasional travel to off-site test facilities and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Requirements:

  • Mechanic background in either on-highway or off-highway vehicles
  • Previous work experience in automotive, HGV or Plant machinery.
  • Hands-on mechanical experience
  • Office 365 experience
  • Proficient use of hand tools
  • Mainly TIG but also MIG Welding & fabrication skills are desirable
