Responsibilities

The ideal candidate must be motivated to learn and routinely practice excellent calibration techniques. You will need to complete work according to business instructions, specifications, and procedures. Ideally, you will be competent in reading drawings, conducting verification tests, and calibration on electronic and electromechanical equipment using a range of measurement tools and specialized equipment such as pressure controllers. Skills in basic engineering, fine assembly, calibration, and testing procedures are also desirable.

Qualifications

The Test Technician will:

  • Set up and operate equipment to test/calibrate units/subassemblies as per instructions, specifications, and procedures.
  • Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis of analogue and digital circuitry to component level.
  • Provide detailed written failure descriptions with root cause analysis to production and engineering teams.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions, adhering to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Carry out production, repair, and assembly work as required within multiple departments on site.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following company safety policies.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, capable of multi-tasking, and able to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize duties, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled in using test equipment, hand tools, power tools, and electric soldering equipment.
  • Ability to analyze and determine methods and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows software applications.
