Rate:

£22/hour + 25% shift uplift - £27.50/hour PAYE

Holiday entitlement - 25 days per annum (accrued) + pension scheme

Shift pattern:

2pm - 10:30pm Mon - Thurs and 11am to 4pm Friday

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate must be motivated to learn and routinely practice excellent calibration techniques. You will need to complete work according to business instructions, specifications, and procedures. Ideally, you will be competent in reading drawings, conducting verification tests, and calibration on electronic and electromechanical equipment with the use of various measurement tools, including pressure controllers. Skills in basic engineering competencies, fine assembly, calibration, and testing procedures are preferred.

Qualifications

The Test Technician will:

  • Set up and operate equipment to test/calibrate units/subassemblies as per instructions, specifications, and procedures.
  • Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis of analogue and digital circuitry to component level.
  • Provide detailed written failure descriptions with root cause analysis to production and engineering.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions, adhering to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Carry out production, repair, and assembly work within multiple departments on site.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment following company safety policies.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, capable of multi-tasking, and able to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
  • Skilled in the use of test equipment, hand tools, power tools, and electric soldering.
  • Ability to analyze and determine methods and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows software applications.
