Position: Test Technician

Salary: £30,000 - depending on experience (Negotiable for the right candidate)

Location: Essex

Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:00, Early finish on Friday

About the Role

Proactive are recruiting an experienced Test Technician for a leading manufacturing and engineering company based in Essex. This permanent position offers opportunities for progression within a market leader in the automated machinery and pharmaceutical industry.

The role involves executing various test protocols during the commissioning of production lines and verifying equipment functionality. You will report test results to the project team to support management and engineering technicians.

Initially, the focus will be on testing equipment using company protocols to support machine verification, providing consistency and learning machine operations.

Responsibilities

1. Execute company-generated test protocols.
2. Complete all relevant test documentation accurately.
3. Report incidents or failures during testing.
4. Document test outcomes and feedback.
5. Suggest improvements to testing processes for efficiency.
6. Liaise with validation teams during Factory Acceptance and onsite testing.
7. Maintain and calibrate test equipment.

Skills and Qualifications

• Formal engineering qualification preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Understanding of automation equipment and machinery.
• Experience in testing within engineering or manufacturing sectors.
