Job summary

Cubic Transportation Systems in the United Kingdom is seeking a technically skilled test engineer to install, configure and commission new equipment and systems in the Test area. You will ensure full configuration control and prepare the environment for customer visits and witnessed tests.

You will liaise with Test and Engineering teams to identify equipment needs, maintain test environments, log issues, and coordinate patches with IT.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Test environment with multiple devices and equipment.
• Experience in Transport Systems, AFC Systems or Automotive industry.
• Ability to produce timely, quality paperwork and reports.
• Ability to train others on new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission new equipment/systems in the Test area.
• Liaise with Test and Engineering teams to identify equipment needs.
• Support the wider Test team by ensuring equipment is ready for use.
• Prepare the test area for customer visits and witnessed tests.
• Maintain test environments and replace defective units as needed.
• Interrogate error logs and coordinate patches/tests with IT.
