An established industry player is seeking a qualified UKAS RG-2 Category 3 Inspection Engineer to enhance their inspection team. This role involves conducting thorough inspections at a major site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and applying your expertise in pressure systems and corrosion awareness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inspection practices, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess a solid understanding of industry standards. Sonomatic RAIS are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced UKAS RG-2 Category 3 Inspection Engineer to join our inspection team at Shell, Mossmorran. - offshore

Skills/Experience

Minimum 5 years’ work experience in a similar role
Working knowledge and understanding of the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 (PSSR).
Visual Inspection for External Corrosion / CUI – formal training can be provided
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Competence in use of computer packages
Ability to co-ordinate and prioritise work effectively.
Knowledge of relevant national and international standards relating to oil industry equipment and processes.
Sound knowledge and understanding of the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 (PSSR).
Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant industry standards (API, ASME, EEMUA, BS EN)
Sound knowledge and understanding of damage mechanisms and corrosion awareness.

Qualifications

UKAS RG2 Category 3 minimum
ASME Level 1 Plant inspector (preferred but not essential)

Working Hours

37.5
Monday - Thursday 8am - 4:30pm, Friday 8am - 2pm
