Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a qualified UKAS RG-2 Category 3 Inspection Engineer to enhance their inspection team. This role involves conducting thorough inspections at a major site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and applying your expertise in pressure systems and corrosion awareness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inspection practices, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess a solid understanding of industry standards. Qualifications

Job description

Sonomatic RAIS are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced UKAS RG-2 Category 3 Inspection Engineer to join our inspection team at Shell, Mossmorran. - offshore

Skills/Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience in a similar role
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 (PSSR).
  • Visual Inspection for External Corrosion / CUI – formal training can be provided
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Competence in use of computer packages
  • Ability to co-ordinate and prioritise work effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant national and international standards relating to oil industry equipment and processes.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 (PSSR).
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant industry standards (API, ASME, EEMUA, BS EN)
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of damage mechanisms and corrosion awareness.

Qualifications

  • UKAS RG2 Category 3 minimum
  • ASME Level 1 Plant inspector (preferred but not essential)

Working Hours

  • 37.5
  • Monday - Thursday 8am - 4:30pm, Friday 8am - 2pm
