Job summary

Experis Engineering in Aberdeen invites an experienced Test Manager to lead test and assurance activities across complex, integrated systems in a high technology sector. The role is a 6-month initial contract with potential extensions and requires on-site Aberdeen attendance with hybrid working.

You will own test strategy, planning, execution, and reporting, managing test environments and supplier documentation while guiding a team of Test Engineers and ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Test Management, Test Assurance or Systems V&V.
• Experience with complex, integrated systems.
• Experience producing formal test documentation, including test plans, scripts and reports.
• Understanding of systems engineering and software lifecycles.
• Experience with real-time, safety-critical or business-critical systems.
• Experience leading or coordinating test engineers and wider technical teams.
• Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills.
• Engineering qualification at HNC level or above, or equivalent experience.
• SC Clearance or ability to obtain clearance.
• Experience in radar, communications, flight systems, embedded systems or similar complex engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Developing and managing Test Strategies and Test Plans.
• Creating and maintaining test scripts, procedures and test reports.
• Ensuring requirements are verifiable, complete and traceable.
• Defining appropriate test and acceptance criteria.
• Managing test environments, tools and resources.
• Investigating test failures and providing recommendations.
• Supporting system acceptance and engineering reviews.
• Managing and reviewing supplier test documentation.
• Providing technical leadership to a team of Test Engineers.
• Ensuring test activities meet required quality, timescale and assurance standards.
