We're on the lookout for a Test Manager to join our dynamic Transformation and Technology team.If you're an experienced professional with a passion for quality, collaboration, and driving change, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

About the role

As our Test Manager, you'll be responsible for defining and overseeing the end-to-end testing strategy across both our transformation programmes and technology portfolio.From managing teams and environments to improving tools and processes, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the quality and success of our testing function.

You'll be a key figure within the Programme Delivery team - building strong relationships with stakeholders, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and championing a best-in-class approach to quality assurance.

What you'll be doing

  • Designing and implementing a robust testing strategy aligned with our transformation and technology goals
  • Leading the testing approach and operating model for Tarmac, including internal and third-party capabilities
  • Ensuring testing processes meet all regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Coordinating test plans across all project phases, ensuring alignment with regression testing in live environments
  • Managing and optimising test environments across transformation and BAU activities
  • Continuously improving testing tools, methodologies and performance metrics
  • Selecting and owning test management tools, including user training and support
  • Acting as an escalation point for Test Leads to manage testing risks and issues

What we're looking for

  • Adept at balancing multiple priorities and delivering under pressure
  • Clear and effective communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Functional competencies

  • Demonstrable experience in test planning, coordination, and execution - particularly UAT
  • Knowledge of test tool selection and implementation
  • Ability to manage complex testing programmes with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven project management experience
  • Able to design and maintain schedules, reports, scripts, and test-related databases

Experience & qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Significant experience managing test activity across large-scale transformation programmes
  • Hands-on experience with testing tools and modern QA methodologies
  • A detailed understanding of acceptance criteria and close collaboration with business stakeholders
