This role is based within the EE & EV Labs and focuses on transforming test data into actionable forecasts to support workload planning. Key responsibilities include analysing historical data sets and collaborating with other test teams to anticipate future testing demands and estimate the number of tests required for upcoming programmes

WHAT TO EXPECT

In this role, you will support capacity and capability planning across all EE & EV test labs. You will play a key part in transitioning labs from legacy systems to modern IT platforms, ensuring a seamless and high-quality testing experience. Additionally, you will contribute to standardizing the Test Operation Process to better align with business needs. Here's what to expect:
  • Support the development of a robust and standardised forecasting model for EE/EV labs that is compatible across BTO
  • Use PDL inputs to understand programme feature content
  • Support the creation of a forecasting model based upon programme content and scalability linked to testing requirements in EE/EV labs
  • Ensure EE/EV labs are using JLR enterprise Agile methods
  • Support teams in transition to a new business tool for managing Tests
  • Ensure all requirements for each Lab are gathered and refined for the latest Tool when working with Test Operations Process Team

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you'll need to have to help you succeed here, including:
  • Proven experience in data analysis, forecasting, and workload planning to support operational efficiency
  • Experience of Agile tools and methods and operational cadence across the JLR enterprise
  • Knowledge of Programme feature content and gateway timings
  • Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders and technical teams across Engineering to align feature content with test requirements
  • Proficient in using Jira for task tracking, sprint planning, and project visibility
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and associated test facilities
