We have an exciting opportunity for a Test Facilities Technician to join us in supporting a prestigious automotive manufacturer in the West Midlands area.

You will have a base site but the role will also involve some travel to other sites all within the Warwickshire region, in which case mileage will be paid.

The purpose of the role is to ensure the safe, efficient and effective operation of the Engineering Operations (EO) Test Facilities used for Product Development.

You'll work within the Cross Functional Test Facilities across various sites, supporting EO activities, demonstrating a commitment to safe working practices in line with the company's destination zero policies with a clear understanding of your responsibility towards yourself and others within the workplace to achieve this.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Calibration of standalone equipment, instruments and sensors on test beds as per schedule in alignment with supervisor/manager to the procedure
  • Preventative maintenance of equipment as directed
  • Monitoring TPM schedule and ensuring they are adhered to provide Test Equipment availability for Product Development
  • Adherence to Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Undertake any other work as directed by your line manager in accordance with the job responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Level 4 Qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience/related discipline
  • Level 2 Functional Skills or equivalent in English, Maths and Science
  • Proven experience and understanding of facilities, processes, equipment and leading technologies
  • Experience in problem solving control systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Proactive and willingness to learn new systems and processes
  • Ability to challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style
  • Ability to follow written and spoken instruction and interface well with customers
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment maintaining attention to detail
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic DBS criminal record check and must possess valid right to work in the UK, as we're unable to support visa sponsorship.
