Job summary

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency - Department for Transport Careers is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our Swansea team. You will test web interfaces and APIs, design tests, and help improve quality through established testing practices.

You will work with Scrum teams, use tools such as Bruno and Xray, and contribute to creating clear test reports. Strong communication and collaboration across delivery squads are essential to ensure 'done' criteria are met.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing stories in the Gherkin specification language.
• Experience using test tooling for web UIs and APIs; implement continuous testing.
• Experience as Test Analyst or Test Engineer and ability to work across squads.

Responsibilities

• Determine test scope and estimate effort.
• Use tooling to design and execute tests on web UIs and APIs.
• Develop reports, record outcomes and support defect resolution.
• Contribute to and follow engineering practices and standards.
