Job summary

PIC AND PIXEL SINGAPORE PTE LTD is seeking a test engineer to develop and execute test plans for power systems products and ensure quality and function. You will prepare technical documents, perform FAT with consultants and inspectors, and continually improve test procedures.

The role requires a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and at least 2 years in engineering testing and configuration within power systems manufacturing, with UPS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• UPS testing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the test plan for each system to verify quality and functionality.
• Prepare technical documents and reports.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) with consultants and third-party inspectors.
• Improve test setup, calibration and procedures.
• Analyze errors in electronic designs and production and advise corrective actions.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnel.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and report unsafe conditions.
• Assist Service Engineers with customer needs for technical support.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical assembly equipment.
• Support manufacturing team and communicate product performance issues; contribute to work instructions and records.

Purpose of the role:

• Test products and systems in order to assure quality and correct function of the products as well as completeness of all required process documentation.

The Role:

• Developing and executing the test plan in for each system and to check if products meet quality and functionality requirements.
• Preparation of technical document and report.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) in the presence of consultants and third-party inspectors.
• Continually improve the setup, calibration and test procedures.
• Analyze errors in electronic designs & production and provide advice & feedback on corrective actions.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnel.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to the team leader.
• Assist Service Engineers with customer needs for technical support.
• Trouble shoot and repair (complex) mechanical and electrical assembly equipment.
• Provides general support to the manufacturing team. Communicate with engineering on product performance and functionality issues. Contribute to the development of work instructions, batch records, equipment logs, material specifications and other device history documents.

What Do You Need to Have?

• Candidate must possess a Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• He/she must possess at least 2 years of working experience in engineering testing and configuration within power systems manufacturing sector.
• Candidate with test engineering working experience within Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) manufacturing environment will be preferred.
• Good knowledge of quality tools and methods.
• Able to troubleshoot and find the root of the problem.
