Job description

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our Data Democratisation team on a Fixed Term Contract up until the end of 2025.

The role will oversee the validation of broadband data from our new billing system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy across both existing and new Finance data products.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation and reliability of financial data processes within the programme and will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including third-party vendors, internal programme teams, and financial data product users

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Extensive experience as a Test Engineer, with a strong background in hands-on testing of data pipelines and financial reporting systems. Must be comfortable conducting data reconciliation and accuracy testing independently.
  • Proficiency in SQL (BigQuery preferred) to extract, validate, and compare data across systems. Experience testing dbt transformations and ensuring data integrity within cloud-based data environments.
  • Experience supporting major migrations, such as moving PAYG and broadband customers onto Netcracker. Ability to validate data with no regression impact and ensure business processes function as expected.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors (e.g., Cognizant, Accenture) and internal teams, providing clear test findings and supporting key business users in measuring success. Must be able to engage senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, SOX compliance, and financial reporting
