Job summary

MandM Direct Limited in Hereford is seeking a Test Engineer on a 12-month fixed-term contract, hybrid with 3 days onsite. You will own quality engineering within the Engage Squad and drive modern testing standards across the software lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on test automation, API contract testing, and collaboration with Tech Leads, Engineers and Product Owners to improve customer experiences across MandM’s platform.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern test automation tools; Playwright preferred.
• Experience CI/CD integration within modern software lifecycles.
• Ability to write clean, tested code and perform API contract testing.
• Coach and mentor team members on testing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute testing strategies, including API contracts, load testing and visual regression.
• Automate setup/teardown of complex test environments, including basic GCP provisioning.
• Collaborate with Tech Leads, Engineers and Product Owners to identify and resolve service faults.
• Promote a customer-centric mindset and a 'test and learn' culture.
